I might be showing my age, but one of my favorite bands is Fleetwood Mac. They’ve had some amazing hits over the years, and my wife and I even had the once in a lifetime opportunity to meet them in person after a concert.
When I talk to people about my Fleetwood Mac experience, they always ask me what my favorite song is. It’s hard to say which is my favorite, but there is one song that stands out in my mind as a song of hope, about pushing forward, and not letting the past define you.
The song “Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow.” Can you hear it?
The lyrics go like this:
If you wake up and don’t want to smile
If it takes just a little while
Open your eyes and look at the day
You’ll see things in a different way
Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here
It’ll be better than before
Yesterday’s gone, yesterday’s gone
Why not think about times to come?
And not about the things that you’ve done
If your life was bad to you
Just think what tomorrow will do
Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow
Don’t stop, it’ll soon be here
It’ll be better than before
Yesterday’s gone
As you look to the future and all the possibilities remember, “It’ll soon be here, yesterday’s gone.”
I can’t wait to see what’s next!
Until next time...I’m Marty, make every minute count.
