One of the challenges we all face is how to move on from something that did not go as planned. We tend to dwell on the failure. We spend too much time thinking and worrying about it.
You know what I’m talking about. You did something stupid, or you made a friend or family member mad. You did not close that key deal that you were really counting on, or something that you wanted fell through. It’s deep and it’s personal, yes, but it happened. The moment did not end the way you wanted it to, but it’s done.
Now it’s time to turn the page. You need to move on to the next chapter of the story.
The challenge is that we sometimes dwell on our regrets. You dwell on things you cannot change, and it prevents you from moving forward and letting the next chapter in your life begin.
So how do you turn the page? Own your mistakes and move on! If you want to succeed in life, you cannot have a problem turning the page in the book of your life. Our books are going to be filled with all kinds of stories. Some happy, some sad, but we always have to move forward and turn the page.
You are the author of your book of life. The question is, how do you want it to read? Do you want it to get stuck on one page or do you want to move on to the next chapter?
You get to decide.
Until next time…I’m Marty, make every minute count.
